Fat is a rich source of adipose or fat derived stem and regenerative cells. These have been shown to be beneficial in a number of plastic and reconstructive surgery situations. These Adipose Derived Regenerative Cells or ADRC’s found in fat grafts can be beneficial for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, management of problem wounds, and have the potential to be helpful in numerous other tissue injury and disease situations.
